Second, there is a dawn of war script for Dark Crusade and Soulstorm but not for Winter Assault or the Original. Why is that? and how do I install them? I try and install the original Dawn of war, I have is the GOTY edition which has the original and Winter Assault, it is 4 cds and once Ubuntu mounts the first disk it wont unmount it when it asks for the 2nd disk.
for the Dawn of War "the original" and Winter Assault it seems from what I can read here that someone tried to make a script for those games but gave up.
as for the why, it could be that none of the scriptwriters have the original game in their possession.
you're welcome to try that script and try to fix it if you want/can.
here is the wine page about dawn of war http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?iAppId=1918 here is what they say in the wine page:
IMPORTANT WHEN INSTALLING FROM CDS: When you are required to put in the next CD, open up terminal and type "wine eject d:" where d represents the CD drive being used. Then, be sure the CD is mounted! If it isn't the setup fails and you have to start all over again. This was a real pain to me. If you get an error during the setup, just restart it and it'll probably work.
hope this could help.
