Why is Wine always 1.4.1?

I noticed an interesting bug... maybe its always been there, but how is this affecting my PlayOnLinux games?

When I click "Configure" and then go to the Wine Tab, I click "Configure Wine"
When I select the "About" Tab it shows Wine version 1.4.1

Thats fine because its probably the version of Wine from when I installed Wine the first time.

But, when I select a different version of Wine for my Virtual Drive (Wineprefix) I go back to "Configure Wine" and "About" Tab... its still showing Wine version 1.4.1

Has PlayOnLinux always done this?
When I make configure Wine is it only making changes to Wine version 1.4.1?
If I select Wine 1.5.17 for my Virtual Drive (Wineprefix) why doesn't the "About" Tab show Wine version 1.5.17?

So when you go to the "About" Tab it shows the version of Wine that you selected in PlayhOnLinux?
Hmm.... maybe I need to re-install PlayOnLinux?

Yeah. I would. Back up your virtual drives, if needed, and try reinstalling it. Im not sure what would cause that, though.

I suspected that the wineserver could still be running when you selected a new Wine version, since currently when this happens PoL does not forcefully kill any running wineserver (as it does for example when you change display settings);
But in such case server and apps do not agree on Wine version and no application can start, not even winecfg, so this is not the reason for what you experience.
For now I'm puzzled :p

Ahh, good point!
I have noticed when a game crashes, sometimes wineserver is still running.
If it happens again, I'll try killing wineserver and then starting over launching my game again.

so you don't think a lingering wineserver isn't the problem?

It must have been something like that. Now its working. When I switch Wine in PlayOnlinux it shows up in the Wine Configuration properly.
Thanks
