Hello,

I'm using ubuntu (13.04) with the latest version of PlayOnLinux (4.2.1) with wine1.6 and have installed nvidia 317 update.

When I start the game the resolution changes to the lowest the system can handle but I can't change the resolution in game. Is there a way to change the resolution to have it on the same resolution as on windows?

When I quite the game the resolution doesn't always change back to the correct one I had set in the settings.

Thanks in advance,

Lodder

Wine has always been finicky with resolution in games.
I recommend setting Wine to use a virtual desktop and set the resolution for it instead.

Wine Virtual Desktop:

  1. Launch playonlinux

  2. Click Configure

  3. Select "LoL" virtual drive

  4. Click Wine tab

  5. Click Wine Configure

  6. Click display tab

  7. Check "run Wine in a Virtual Desktop"

  8. Select a resolution to match your desktop

Now you should be able to change resolution in-game.

If not, then look in the game files for a configuration file where you can manually type the default resolution.

Awesome, can you mark this post as "solved"?
So were you going to get your game to be fullscreen?

Yes, I marked it solved!

I first put in virtual desktop and then changed the resolution. And afterwards I unselected virtual desktop and I was still running full screen with the correct resolution!

So thanks for the quick response

NIce job! I'm not sure why it does that, but I've had the same problem. Normally I just leave virtual desktop checked and all my games look fullscreen anyways.
