Has someone successfully installed Paint.net on Mac using PlayonMac?

I tried it and it fails. It does require Microsoft's .NET Framework 4.5, described on their website.

I know that GIMP is pretty powerful alternative for this. But I find it too complicated for a simpler image editing.

Can someone help with Paint.net installation?

Here their link: http://www.getpaint.net/download.html#download

Thanks as always.

Wasn't this addressed in your other post? There are also a lot of other things besides GIMP that are easier, just like Paint. I don't think that .NET 4.5 is super stable on Wine yet.

Here is another list of programs that might work for you, too.

Also, according to WineHQ, it has a "garbage" rating, which means that it literally does not work at all through Wine, and subsequently through PlayOnLinux. Until WineHQ issues a fix that lets it work, you will have to find an alternative to this program, because Paint.NET running through Wine is not possible at the moment.

You may want to try GIMP instead.  Paint.NET is pretty cool, but GIMP can do Waaaay more!

You can use custom brushes and do paths just like in Photoshop.  GIMP has all the filters, layer effects and stamp tools for example.  I'll never go back to Paint.NET
