I am trying to run ESO through PlayOnLinux on Linux Mint 17.1 64bit using Wine 1.9.13 (which I think is supposed to fix the DirectX11 issue and make ESO playable on Wine again). When I try to start the game, it gives me an error message that says "Unable to initialize render device". When I check the log file, the latest entry says "[0629/121725:ERROR:network_change_notifier_win.cc(143)] WSALookupServiceBegin failed with: 8". If anyone has any suggestions as to how I might fix this problem, I would be most grateful.

I had the same error message in the log file, but it occured with an update-error.

the solution was to delete the "launcher" entry and start from the install_eso.exe  again...

when I try to start the game, it still says that my directx-version is not supported.

Wine-Version: 1.9.13

 

Any Suggestions?
