xbox one og controller not connecting to Mac?

kolatpo5	I tried blue tooth, controller is too old. Tried a cable, still doesn't work. It even gives a rumble but STILL no pop up, nothing. for reference, it's the first gen xbox one wireless controller, and my MacBook Pro is from 2020, and has iOS 15.6.1, please help.
