So i start installeing EVE Online and then suddenly i get a POL crashed error.

are you using wine 1.6 ?? if yes change it to latest one and try it like that

@Ronin I think he installed it with POL script that uses 1.6 wine, at least that is what I think and he just should change the wineprefix wine version to 1.7.42 and retry.

The new game installer comes as a .msi, the script expects a .exe, I suspect it requires a larger modification than a fix to the web scrapping part...

looks like i found a way around the whole thing by finding the folder i downloaded and opening it directly with WINE instead of using the PlayOnLinux program.

Yup, that's always an alternative to fixing the scripts...
