OSX version: Mojave (10.14.2)
PlayOnMac version: 4.34
Graphics Card: Radeon Pro 560
Hey folks,
I first installed POM and it was working fine earlier this week, but now every time I load it up, the application simply hangs, and stops responding. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but that doesn't seem to work. Has anyone encountered a similar issue?

For what it's worth, I can't seem to find any logs that indicate where the load is stopping, but I'm happy to go digging through files to find out what's going on.

Try to run PlayOnMac from a terminal:
/Applications/PlayOnMac.app/Contents/MacOS/PlayOnMac

Searching the web about "ChunkCompression.cpp:49: Error: unsupported compressor 8"
returns some pages, perhaps the bottom of this one can help ("The initial issue was with trying to install XXXXXXX on APFS partitions. Using a non-AFPS (like HFS+) should work around the issue, this was mostly for 10.13-10.13.3 versions. If it is persisting on 10.13.5, please check if filevault is active and make sure the Archive Utility is utilized to extract the installer").
