Darwine version: 1.3.1-ubi-drm
Distribution : Snow Leopard
distribution version: 10.6.4
Comments :
-DVD installer may freeze at the end of the installation, follow the POM window instructions to go on.
-Ubisoft DRM patch is unstable so you still may need to disable DRM to play.
-The mouse is a bit too quick sometimes.
-Some slow down dues to Post-treatment effects, it's safer to disable them.
-To play this game smoothly you need a 2009 iMac/Macbook model with GeForce 9 series or it's AMD equivalent.

Hi,
I'm a complete newby with the use of wine or Play On Mac.
I've tried to install AC2 on my macbook pro (snow leopard 10.6.4) today. Install went well, but when I launch the game from the desktop shortcut or POM list of installed game, I only get a small black square on the center of the screen.
Would you have any idea on why I get this and how to fix it ?
thanks a lot !

Unfortunately, due to recent Ubisoft DRM update, you need to disable this protection to play AC2 with wine.

We, of course, do not support piracy so find yourself what to do to disable the DRM and vote for AC2 support on appdb to have ubisoft DRM working with wine.

Ah, I was going to ask how, but I see that we have to do it ourselves. That really sucks!
This means I can't play Assassin's Creed II at all in Linux. Whats the point of adding extra DRM when it forces us to use more "no-cd cracks"?

I payed for the game and it ran fine in Vista, but no go in Wine.
