Hi all,

I just tried again to install age of empire II (age of kings). The
installation process seems to succeed, but when I try to start the game,
it always says

"The program empires2.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

Looking at the details is not very helpful either:

Unhandled exception: page fault on read access to 0x5b3c8368 in 32-bit code (0x0040aacc).

Looking at the wine application DB seems to say: the game is well
supported. I tried running the debugger, but the error messages weren't
too helpful either:

Can anyone give me a hint, what to try next? Should I post the full debug output somewhere or can I try something else? Am I expected to look for a no-cd patch or the like?
