I'm trying to play Black Mesa: Source using PlayOnMac using a tutorial I found, and I'm having some problems. I can't run steam through PlayOnMac. The run option is grayed out and if I go to click "Steam.exe" in the virtual files folder, it does nothing. If I click the desktop icon of Steam, you could tell its trying to launch, but then it just goes away. No error message or anything. Anyone else encounter this?

I did notice something in the debug log though: "Application tried to create a window, but no driver could be loaded. Make sure that your X server is running and that $DISPLAY is set correctly. "
As far as I know, all my drivers are up to date. I'mm so confused.

I'm getting this problem as well. I have been trying for weeks to get Black Mesa Source to run on my mac. I have all the files installed, but I need Source SDK Base 2007 to run it. Since steam wont let me install that, I tried using PlayOnMac to install steam, and i installed it, pressed run, then X11 didn't launch it. I am very confused. Please help!

Have you rebooted your computer as asked by PlayOnMac ?
